Comic Con and the Scribe Awards

Monday, 19. July 2010 11:01

I have completely fallen down on this blog, and shame on me. I will try to get it going again soon, but not until after San Diego Comic Con. However, if you’re coming to the con, maybe I’ll see you there and I can fill you in on things in person. I will be there from Thursday afternoon until Sunday evening, mostly just wandering around and spending too much money.

I will, however, be attending one event. I am a nominee for the 2010 Scribe Awards for Shamanslayer, and will be attending the Scribe Awards Ceremony, then participating in the panel afterwards. The Scribe Awards will be held on Friday afternoon from 5:00 to 6:30 in room 4, wherever that is. HERE are the details from the programming guide. If you can make it, I would love to see you there, and if you happen to bring any of my books, I would be happy to sign them, as I don’t have an official signing this year.

It’s an Honor Just to be Nominated…

Monday, 23. November 2009 12:34

Woo hoo! For the second year in a row, I have been nominated for a David Gemmell Award, this time for Shamanslayer. The award is for the best heroic fantasy novel of the year. The field is wide and deep and I’m up against some stiff competition, but, as the title of the post says, it’s an honor just to be nominated.
